Survey: Kids Want Guitar Hero, DSi For Christmas, Xbox, PSP Not So Much

A survey by retailer Game Crazy finds that 66% of gamers ages 8 to 17 are hoping to get a new console over the holidays. The Nintendo DSi leads the pack with 24% of respondents putting it at the top of their wishlist, with the Wii and PS3 in a tie for second place at 21% each. The Xbox 360 comes in with 16%, with the PSP seeing 12% of kids calling it their most wanted. (No distinction was made between the PSPgo and other models of the system.)
Among the games that made the list, pretty much everyone wants Guitar Hero 5. Even yucky girls! Nintendo sees high demand as well for Wii Sports Resort, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games. I didn't realize how much kids loved curling!
Among boys 11-17, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 ranks highly, which is ridiculous because we all know that parents would never buy their underage children an M-rated game, right? MW2 is a game made by adults for adults, and I'm sure Activision Blizzard will do its best to make sure that it stays out of the hands of impressionable youngsters.

Is there seriously Curling in "Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games"? I used to curl back i high school, fell in love with the sport, and have missed it ever since. :( I would love a re-creation game on my Wii!
So seriously... is that event in the game?
I have M&S@WG, so yes, I can confirm for you that Curling is in the game, Ermiretrek. ;-)
As for those wanting a DSi, I feel for the poor guys, it just doesn't have any games. *Shakes head*
Yeah I pretty much knew this.
Considering I'm way immature and i want Guitar Hero for christmas over a PSP lolol
Guitar Hero over Rock Band? What madness is this?
