Video: New Final Fantasy XIII Trailer Is Gorgeous, 5 Minutes Long
I hope you've set some time aside, because a new Final Fantasy XIII trailer just came out of Japan and clocks in at five minutes long. That's a lot of trailer! But that means Square-Enix can show off a substantial amount during that time. Most of the trailer is pre-rendered cutscene material, which honestly I don't want to see in a game's trailer and I probably wouldn't be posting the video if that's all there was to it. But the last half of the trailer is all gameplay footage, showing off more of the battle system and world map exploration. The trailer also has plenty of summons eidolons with Bahamut, Alexander, and Shiva making key appearances, as well as a new Gatling gun equipped summon.
Final Fantasy XIII is out next month in Japan, and March 9 for North America, and gorgeous trailers like this make the wait that much harder.
