Wootini's Weekly Animal Crossing Diary
Dear Diary,
This week, Narnia had a celebration! Well, not an actual celebration, but there was an occasion marked, even if it was only quietly. On the flip side, it was also another sad week of loss. I'm beginning to wonder if I smell or something. There has to be some reason why nobody sticks around anymore! I mean, I've got townies who seem to be relatively permanent, like the regular cast of a TV show. But then I get these new castmembers who somehow turn into special guest stars and disappear. Did they get a better offer? Who am I talking about this time? Well, you'll see after the break. And obviously it's not Pippy, because I'm still able to string sentences together!
At the beginning of the week, I got a present from Nintendo to celebrate the first year of City Folk. The letter read: "Happy anniversary! You know what's great about this town? There's always something to celebrate and someone to celebrate with! To friends old and new! Nintendo" And enclosed was something awesome to celebrate with, this giant anniversary cake with a little house on the top of it! What fun!
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get to town on Saturday, so when Sunday rolled around I had a lot of wilting flowers. There was a patch of black roses I was growing that all went dead, and I thought I watered them with the silver watering can, but they turned into gold roses anyway! Weird. Oh, and I also realized that my red turnip had wilted, so I watered that with the silver can, too. The last time, I figured the gold one would do the same thing as the silver, but it didn't. Having learned my lesson, I used the silver watering can and sure enough, on Monday, the red turnip had come back to life. But oddly enough, when I dug it up to go sell it, I got nothing from Nook because it was all withered! The hell? I sold it with a bunch of other stuff, so I don't know exactly how much the turnip got specifically, but I'm guessing a big fat goose egg because it was withered. The thing is, I don't know if it's because it hadn't fully come back to life from the silver watering can, or if you wait past Sunday to sell your red turnip it goes bad. I've never actually waited past Saturday or Sunday to sell it back. And I don't know that I really want to waste the 15,000 bells to test it out and try again!
So there you have it. Early this week, I popped into Jitters' place to say hi, and found he was all packed up to move! And he wouldn't even let me try to talk him out of it! It's just like with Rod, where his mind was made up. I guess it's hard to change the burly ones' minds. It's so unfair! I liked Jitters! I even sent him a present, in the hopes of getting him to stay, even though it didn't work the last time with Rod. I had to try, though, right?
Then I got a letter from Tortimer that said: "Can you believe that it's been a year since you moved to Narnia?! Here's a small gift from me to commemorate the occasion! From the Mayor" And enclosed was a town hall model! It's huge! And no, I can't believe it's been a year since I moved to Narnia. Wow. That means I've been doing this diary for a year. I don't know what's crazier that I've been writing this weekly update for 52 weeks, or that anyone still cares enough to read it! Hah!
But you know who didn't stick around for the anniversary festivities? That's right. By the end of the week, Jitters was long gone. And to add insult to injury, I got his good-bye letter the same day that I received his reply to my present with its own gift attached. Must have mailed it on his way out of town. Sigh. Well, Jitters was cool, but it's not as painful a loss as Rod. But since I've gotten so attached to Stinky so quickly, I'd better make sure to always talk to him and send him bribes I mean, presents to keep him happy and in Narnia!
To polish off the week on a high note, my friend Adrian sent me a Wii Locker in the mail. Apparently it was the European DLC. I mean, I guess the cake we got for the anniversary was pretty cool, but come on! It's a locker shaped like Wiimotes! It opens in the center with the Wiimotes swinging out to the sides so you can put stuff inside. It's neat, but it doesn't go with my Halloween decor, so I have to put it aside for the time being. But adding that to the two DSi couches, I suppose if they keep putting out enough Nintendo hardware furniture, it could make for an awesome room!

Maybe it's the name but Jitters looks like he lives in a crack house.
no, you're right. he looks like a junkie. my friends and i call him heroin bird.
but we also call coco the coconut bunny, "gang bang bunny."
glad you enjoyed the wiimote locker, chris. the next dlc is for the US...to celebrate black friday. i hope it is a giant sculpture of a trampled soccer mom.
and i got my 1 year letter, too. congrats!
