Cheap Date: Rockstar, Adult Swim Bring You Remixed Jams From The Dirty South

You've got to hand it to the fine folks at Rockstar and Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. Every time I visit either one of their sites it seems like they finding new and unique ways of promoting their latest goings on, but this is the first time I've seen the two pair up together. In an effort to showcase Rockstar's Beaterator for PSP and iTouch devices, the two have put up a free to download mp3 mix tape titled ATL RMX. After asking myself where exactly is the "tape" in an mp3 mix tape, I looked at the list of artists featured and was pleasantly surprised by the variety of artists and producers featured there. While the tracklist almost exclusively deals in hip hop, some of the remixes involved bring a really different sound, such as electronic producer Perfuse 73 and recent Peaches collaborator/remixer Drums of Death. Two of the songs ("Hello Miss" and "is that You God?") will be coming to the PSP version of Beaterator real soon for all your portable remixing needs through Adult Swim's website. I'll be the first to admit that not every song here is stellar, but it's hard to argue with its wallet friendly price of $0.00.
