Industry Profile: Shoji Meguro

Shoji Meguru , the celebrated musical talent behind many of the games in the Shin Megami Tensei series was born in Tokyo, Japan and studied the decidedly un-video game field of Hydrodynamics at Nihon University. Shoji Meguro is to the Persona series as Nobuo Uematsu is to Final Fantasy. Blending emo-rock, pop, R&B, and a French flavor of hip hop, this notesmith fashions a haunting landscape of musical quality and direction that clings to players long after the game is over.
After joining Atlus in 1996 he began with Persona: Revelations, a PSOne title, and has bulit a solid resume including Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers (1997), Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga(2004), and Trauma Center: Second Opinion (2006). Shoji most recently revamped his Persona Revelations soundtrack for the recent PSP re-release of Persona and is rumored to be on staff for Persona 5. Be assured the Persona series and the gaming landscape would not be the same without this musical visionary.

I've never felt like so miserable
I've never felt like da da da da da
Oh God let me out,
can you let me out
Dreamless dorm, Ticking clock
I walk away from the soundless room
Windless night moonlight melts
My ghostly shadow to the lukewarm gloom
