Video Games Live To Air On PBS

If you haven't been able to catch a performance of Video Games Live (like me), you're in luck, because they're joining forces with PBS to air a special that will be taped on February 5, 2010 at the Lakefront Arena in New Orleans with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra and will begin airing in June 2010 on PBS station. If you'd actually like to be a part of the taping by attending that performance, tickets will be going on sale for $15 each starting Friday, December 18 at 10am CST.
In addition, a companion DVD and Blu-Ray will be released in 2010 featuring additional segments and special extras including behind the scenes footage, a making of, interactive angles, exclusive interviews with game developers and composers, never before seen game trailers and more. They're also putting out Video Games Live: Volume Two on CD which will include many of the new segments included over the past two years as well as some of the most popular classics. All of these products will be released in the summer of 2010 after PBS' exclusive window closes.

We had something like this in Baltimore two years ago. Quite enjoyable to have other gamers play their handhelds while the band plays. They also threw in some video clips of gameplay to illustrate story lines.
