Video: Lego Harry Potter Debut

For many of us, Lego Harry Potter has been an inevitability since Warner Bros. bought Traveller's Tales in late 2007. And since the teaser trailer of the game that was shown at E3, we've known that it would be only a matter of time until those blockheads Crabbe and Goyle were given actual blocks for heads and instructed to make things as tough as possible for poor Harry Potter and his soon-to-be plasticized friends.

No specific release date yet, but don't expect to wait forever: TT seems to work at a fairly brisk pace - we'll be waving our wands in 2010 (and some of us might even be waving them with wizardly magic in mind).

Lego Potter tackles the first four books/films/years of Hogwarts abuse, so expect lots of Lego spells, Lego potions classes, Lego Quidditch, and Lego preteen sexual tension. Or, well, at least Lego Fleur Delacour.

I wonder how Oliver Wood's good looks will translate to Lego form.

I can't wait. This looks like what the first games should have been in the first place!

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
