DC Direct Making Dragon Age Dolls Action Figures

dragonagegay.jpg

If you've dreamed of collecting a party of lovable misfits, just like a real life Gray Warden, it looks like DC Direct is trying to help you out. The February Previews Order Form lists four collectable action figures from Dragon Age: Origins, although you may be a little disappointed in their selection: Duncan, Loghain, Morrigan, and a Genlock. That's right, at least in the first round of figures, you won't have your own little Alistair to carry around with you. Personally I'm hoping for Oghren in the next series, as I've always wanted my own pocket dwarf.

There's no price listed for the figures, although it's likely they'll be at their normal collector's level of around $20. With a release date of Sept. 29, 2010, there's a lot of room to change, so it may be a while before we get to see what they look like, and whether or not they'll be producing more party members and characters from the fantasy epic.

W...What? No Alistair and Zevran figures? FAIL!

Loghain and Duncan seem like odd choices.

Morrigan and Alistair should've been a given. An enemy makes sense too and Genlocks are the most common of the Darkspawn.
The fourth place would've most likely gone to Zevran, Lelianna or Wynne. Or maybe even the Wardog.

I won't be getting any of these. If a larger selection becomes available I'll probably nab Morrigan and the Genlock, but only if I can get most of the other partymembers. Alistair would be an immediate purchase though.

Really? What odd selections indeed. Seems like the best bet would be to stick to the party members, especially in the first wave.

What will they follow this up with? DA Series Two: King Cailin, Wynne, the marabi, and that ill-mannered alienage elf?

Also, they should go the build-a-figure route so collectors could make an ogre or Shale, just saying.

The only name that rang a bell was Morrgan. Who are the other people. I played the game but only just started. Sucks no Alistair.

Considering the iconic usage of the Ogre, it would seem that'd be the natural first choice. However, Genlock makes sense in terms of size and cost, probably.

No Alistair or Zevran? Sure, I want Morrigan, but unless she can crack jokes at the expense of those two? Pffft.

Or Shale, because I love that golem to glittering gemstone pieces.

Never really been a fan of action figures. They just take up too much space... I might've made an exception for Alistair though, haha.

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
