Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Bundle Dropping Into Japan

That's what Snake would do--and by Snake, I mean Big Boss. The delicious bundle you see above is an example of one of only 1,974 such packs produced for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, to be sold on Konami's website when the game releases in Japan. The Konami Style Special Limited Edition Bundle is resplendant in its outline-infused camo encasing a PSP-3000, with all the goodies you'd need to rescue Costa Rica from giant nuclear robots. Along with a copy of the game, an art booklet, a matching cleaning cloth, and a set of unique numbered dog tags, the bundle sports a smooth glass PSP stand, ideal for resting your claws during those extra-long cutscenes. Oh, and a real snakeskin leather case with strap.
If you're going to be one of the first to try and jump on this limited run come March 18, you'll want to start saving now: getting this care package dropped in will set you back ¥36980, or around $400.
If that price seems harder to stomach than a reticulated python dinner, maybe you could go for the plain-ol' Premium Package, seen in the gallery below, which just includes the game, PSP, cloth, and a less shiny pouch, only depleting your resources by about $300. It's worth noting that the PSP (along with most new games on the market) tends to be rather more expensive for Japanese gamers - the PSP-3000, for instance, used to be well over $200 by itself, only getting a price drop this past TGS to around $185, which is still more than retail in the U.S.
Still, for that much moolah, this bundle will likely only appeal to the hardest of hardcore Metal Gear Solid fans. I can also hope that, in addition to making it easier to play your PSP in tall grass without being spotted, this bundle will help you try to remember the basics of CQC.
