New PS3 Shin Megami Tensei Game Appears On Amazon
I know there are a lot of Shin Megami Tensei fans around the site (myself one of them), and for those fans I've got some good news: the next Shin Megami Tensei game is on its way to PS3, and sooner than you probably thought. Ok, so I don't have an exact date to give you as proof that it's coming soon, but a listing for a new Shin Megami Tensei game did mysteriously appear on Amazon's Japanese store.
It's worth noting that this is likely not Persona 5. In Japan the Persona series falls under the Megami Ibunroku title, so it would not be using the Shin Megami Tensei name on the Japanese store. The last game in the series, the grammar breaking Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon, was absolutely stellar, and the upcoming DS title Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, promises more JRPG goodness and quirkiness. It will certainly be exciting to see what the MegaTen team does with the PS3 hardware. Now if only we could get some official information, on the game.

Wah! But I really want P5!
Srsly, I've been a fan of the SMT concept for some years now, since playing a rom of one of the games on for SFC.
I saw Persona 1 for PSX in a pawnshop once as a youth, but when I got the money to buy it, it was gone. Tragic.
I have literally spent hours browsing through screenshots and wiki entries for all the games under the umbrella.
I play SMT: Imagine Online from Aeria, and actually won a prize in game for answering series trivia.
I'm currently thinking over a PSP for the P1 and P3 remakes. Porting P4 over would seal the deal.
I was trying to buy a used bc PS3 just so I could play P3 and P4 w/o buying a PS2 (I was holding out for $99, and it only recently happened, so I never played any PS2 era RPG. *sigh*)
I may have become a bigger SMT fanboy than I was a FF fanboy.
So, I really can't wait to see this new PS3 game. I kind of wish it was coming out soon. I don't have a single RPG for the PS3, and it's freaking me out. I'm turning into an action/adventure FPS-er, and that is so not me. XD
