Nintendownloads - 1/11/10

phoenix wright wii.png

This week's Nintendo download update will have you yelling "Objection!" but in a good way. That's right, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney arrives on WiiWare with a port of his original adventure. Something took keep in mind though if you're a fan of the series: the WiiWare port only contains four cases while the DS game you may be more familiar with has five. The four cases were the original story arc when Phoenix Wright was on GBA in Japan, with the fifth case a bonus chapter for the DS rendition that didn't really fit in the story of the other cases anyway (but was still fun, and will be getting its own standalone WiiWare release in the future). If you want a little more action than the courtroom can offer, then Chronos Twin DX may be more up your alley, and comes with a recommendation from our very own Game-Boy. But if you're more in a mood for puzzles, then check out Shadowplay, which offers tangram-like puzzles using the shadow shapes of common household objects.

The week's sole virtual console release is a blast from ancient Chinese past with Shanghai II: Dragon's Eye bringing the SNES rendition of the classic game of Mahjong solitaire.

The DSi gets a long overdue card game with Touch Solitaire, featuring both Klondike and Spider variations of the perfect time-waster card game. Jazzy Billiards features a game of touch-screen 9-ball, along with some jazz tunes to set the mood. Meanwhile, Word Searcher is, well, a word search game with 100 puzzles to solve.

Check after the jump for the full descriptions of each of this week's games.
