Sarien.net: Retro Gaming Goes Javascript

As a purveyor all things tech, web, and retro I spend a lot of time dicking aroundperforming market research on web technology and how gaming is used in the internet space. As a Flash developer by profession, most of the things i see tends to be concentrated around this technology. While still in it's relative hay-day, it's still refreshing to see things that look and act responsive and behave in a way that is normally reserved for the higher level technologies. Javascript, for example, is rarely used for producing rich gaming experiences.
Enter sarien.net. For the uninformed, Sarien was a race from the famous Space Quest series. Sierra made a virtual machine (AGI) for playing these games way back in the day, and now thanks to a a creative man named Martin Kool you can now play them online. Now, this is not a straight up interpreter, some preprocessing and refactoring has occured, but the end result is an awesome collection of (quazi) multiplayer adventure games available in a browser without needing a plugin. Keyboard required (sorry iPhone users).
