Video: Unreal Engine 3 Running On Tegra - The Future Of DS?
At CES yesterday, Nvidia showed off some very impressive tech. One piece that particularly caught my eye though was the above video of Unreal Engine 3 running on one of their new mobile Tegra chips. In addition to the more obvious implications for higher end graphics running on tablets, it has been rumored for a while that Nintendo's next handheld would take advantage of Tegra chips. That's where my interest comes from. I wouldn't say that this Tegra Unreal 3 demo looks quite on par with something like Gears of War, but it's still mighty impressive all the same.
The port to Tegra may not be such a surprise considering that Unreal Engine 3 is also getting the iPhone treatment, but even predictable news can be good news. Especially when we have a tangible demo to show off what to expect.
