Wootini's Weekly Animal Crossing Diary
Dear Diary,
This week started off good, then got a little sketchy, then looked okay again, but with the promise of turning into a complete disaster soon enough. We'll have to wait until next week's update to see for sure, but I'll tell you right now, it ain't lookin' good!
As for this week in Narnia? Make the jump and see...
So there was a fishing tourney again, and this time it was pond smelt only. I've already won a couple of these, so it wasn't like I really even needed to enter, but I caught one just for fun. Chip told me that my 5.2 incher couldn't beat the 6.3 inch one that Pippy had caught earlier. You'd think I would've been all "Ah, whatever." But I guess my competitive nature got riled up and I ended up going to catch another one. You know, just to see if I could beat her. And I did! 7.0 inches! I got a kitchen corner as my bonus gift for beating the record, and then the next day I found out that I won and got another silver trophy for my troubles. Suck it, Pippy! ;-)
So I ran into Bunnie just wandering around aimlessly, having moved into town. I think she has mental problems, but I'm not sure. I mean, she was just so spacey. She didn't really introduce herself properly, and seemed to have trouble remembering my name. I guess being brain damaged could help differentiate Bunnie from the other rabbit in town. Wonder if she and Pippy will even get along...
I bought 500 turnips from Joan this week at 109, but every day I check with Nook, the price keeps going down! Every day I'd think, "Oh, well, it's only Tuesday (or Wednesday or Thursday)... it's bound to rebound and peak tomorrow (or the next day)." Well, here it is, Friday, and the price has bottomed out at 44! My only hope is that tomorrow it'll bounce at least back up to 80-90 so I don't lose too many bells. It's the last day I can sell 'em. I did try checking out some other towns this evening, but nobody had their gates open. I'm going to have to really go out of my way tomorrow if I don't want to go broke! Oh, who am I kidding... I've got plenty of bells. This wouldn't even dent my bank account!
When Rodeo told me he was thinking about moving, I immediately said no. He's one of my favorites from the original batch, and like Pippy, I'm not going to let him go anywhere if I can help it. I asked him to stay, and he admitted he wasn't sure he could get out of it. I sent him a bribe letter, just in case it might work, and a few days later, he seemed fine. He hasn't specifically said he's sticking around, but he hasn't mentioned leaving again, so hopefully that's a good sign! We'll see!
