And The WGA Winner Is...

Back in January we learned about the (mostly laughable) nominations for best writing in a videogame to the Writer's Guild of America. This would be the third year they've had these awards, with the last two winners being Dead Head Fred and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
Now we know the winner of the prize, and it is...
Ms. Amy Hennig, with whom you may be familiar if you have played Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, the game for which she won. You may also know her earlier work on the Legacy of Kain series. We here at the Gay Gamer Castle are quite the fans of her work, so I can imagine we'll lift a toast in her honor, while secretly hoping the WGA starts upping the ante in its nominations (though that's more an issue of membership in their club, I imagine).
Considering Uncharted 2's multiple wins at AIAS this year, it looks like Ms. Hennig is probably booked on the whole accepting awards spiel. If you want to hear the brilliant Hennig talk, you may wish to check out this interview, taken at this past year's PAX, prior to the release of Uncharted 2.

Okay I must be getting tired. For a second there I thought I read that you were going to lift a "toaster" in her honer which doesn't make any sense and is now giving me strange images.
Cool! I loved the Legacy of Kain games. The prize is well deserved. =)
