FFXIII Experience

Pretty invitations. Like a wedding! Or not.

Welcome the marketing muscle of Final Fantasy XIII, who have announced today that launch day will have two separate events. People in and around San Francisco, mark your calendars for March 8, 2010.

The first is the FFXIII Experience, a daytime event. Hosting two sessions lasting two hours each, the Experience promises hands-on time with the games, an art gallery, raffle tickets, and meeting the development team. Said to be focused on the fans themselves, it will likely be mostly about freedom to walk about and take in the majesty of their latest installment.

Later in the day, a select group of people will be invited to attend the launch party itself. There will be some big names to celebrate the launch, which has been some time in the making.

What might be of more interest to you, our lovely readers, is the fact that there are sweepstakes to win an invitation (for two) to these events. To quote:

SQUARE ENIX MEMBERS is offering an opportunity to win one of 200 invitations for two to the FINAL FANTASY XIII EXPERIENCE. Additionally, Bronze members and above have a chance to win one of 50 invitations for two to the FINAL FANTASY XIII LAUNCH PARTY as part of our biggest sweepstakes yet.

Considering the magnitude, money, and time spent in the release of this game, one has to question if such a game can exist again, and if so, how long it will take. So, if you'd like to take a chance, head over to this link here and try your luck.

Full press release behind the jump.
