Video: Endless Ocean: Blue World Trailer

Okay, say what you will, but I rather enjoyed Endless Ocean. Sometimes, after a stressful day at work, there's nothing more relaxing than popping that disc into my Wii and chilling out underwater with pretty fishes and the new age warblings of Hayley Westenra. So despite currently being obsessed with Mass Effect 2 (so many planets to explore!) hoping to finish it in time to get my fevered hands on Heavy Rain (so excited!), I'm not going to let the sequel get lost in the shuffle. Endless Ocean: Blue World is due out on February 22, and this trailer shows a lot of the new features. Obviously, the graphics got an upgrade, and things look even more realistic. It also seems like they've reacted to people complaining that it wasn't really much of a "game" by adding in dangerous fish and more methods of interacting with the undersea life. We'll see how that pans out. I do like the writing with a pseudo-MS Paint interface to communicate while playing online with another person — especially the effect of the writing staying where it is while you swim around it — but I'm just glad that they're including support for the Wii Speak accessory. Playing online in the original was a waste of time with no way to communicate. I know it's not for everyone, but I can't be alone in enjoying games like this, so for the other two of you out there, I thought you guys might like to see this trailer!

haha. In all seriousness, I'm excited for this game too. I missed out on the first one, and I'm glad that the game is not called "Endless Ocean 2." I have a problem with buying games if I haven't played the previous ones and if the title clearly shows that.
