Video: Transformers: War For Cybertron Gameplay Reveal Trailer
There's a bit of a Sonic Cycle effect when it comes to Transformers games. I mean, I don't think anyone has ever had really high expectations for licensed game about giant robots turning into cars and planes, but there's always a glimmer of hope when the first media is released. Maybe now, in this post-Arkham Asylum world, the rules have changed for these fanboy-favorite properties. At least this one doesn't have anything to do with Michael Bay or Shia LaBeouf.
War for Cybertron takes place before the Transformers ever came to Earth, meaning they're still in their space car and future plane transformation modes. The game will have full co-op, and contain both Autobot and Decepticon campaigns. Is there reason for optimism, or will we just get burned again? I guess we'll find out this May, when the game comes out for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
