Video: Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown Announced!
It may not be as popular as that other fighter that has updates that actually get released here in the States, but Virtua Fighter has always had a special place in my heart and nothing gets my heart racing like an announcement video for a the last update to Virtua Fighter 5 entitled Final Showdown. Not much is known about Final Showdown, but it should be assumed that the additions seen in the R update will be topped off with even more costumes, moves, and animations (hopefully we'll see a new character or two, keep your fingers crossed!). While that's all well and good, the sad part is that Sega of America has released no information about a North American or European release.
I'm not one of those people that had a Saturn back in the day and became obsessed with it at the start. I didn't play a ton of it in the arcades either. No, no, I became a convert to the series after the glorious fourth installment for the PS2. The AI, the deep moveset, the unique rhythm in each of the characters... *sigh*... it all just clicked with me. While the latest installment of the fighter didn't exactly light up the sales charts, it maintained an incredible attention to detail and is one of the most rewarding fighters this generation of hardware. Seriously, even the Capcom-diehards should take a break from Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom to check out VF5 and dream of what could be if they released the final update here.

OMG!!!!
VF is my favorite game of all time!
Any word on Online game play for the PS3?
I still can't see why the PS3 version did not have it.
Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!
Enough of V5. Can we please get a sequel to Fighters Megamix? Now that was a crazy fun game.
