X10: Dead Rising 2 Offers Gorier Killings, Gayer Outfits
No, you're not seeing things, this is not a player created patch and I did not make it up. What you're seeing is Chuck Greene, the new player character from Dead Rising 2 in a saucy leather vest, jockstrap and chaps. And yes, the chaps are ass-less, in case you were wondering. Chuck himself seems to be a man of few words and much less hapless than Frank West. But they obviously share a penchant for outre clothing like this one.
Chuck has come to Fortune City in search of fame as a contestant on Terror is Reality, a reality show that takes ordinary citizens and drops them into a zombie infested area to see how long they can survive. Survival means life, but it also means a king's ransom in cash and prizes. Fortune City is a zombie infested fictional Las Vegas clone, which includes an "Adult Shop" featuring the outfit above plus a "massager" that can be used to beat down zombies. Yes, THAT kind of massager) The zombies themselves are decidedly... how shall I put this... more redneck in feeling. There are also some other Vegas types thrown in like the ubiquitous showgirls complete with unitards and fancy headdresses.
Besides having the gayest outfits yet to appear in a video game, Dead Rising 2 also sports a new weapons system which allows for deadly combinations of your already unlimited arsenal. A kayak paddle with a chainsaw attached to each end made short work of an oncoming horde of zombies. The combination of a lawnmower and 2x4's yielded a sort of zombie blender, spewing buckets of blood everywhere.
While there is not a lot of information readily available about the game's details, the fellow demoing the game with me did say that Capcom had addressed some things about the original game that fans did not like. One of these things being the awkward save system and I can only hope, the tiny text issue. However, there were no details to be had on either of those subjects at this point.
Dead Rising 2 looks like great, cheeky fun that walks in the shambling footsteps of its predecessor. The deaths are gorier, the outfits campier and Fortune City is as bright and gaudy as the real Vegas. Dead Rising 2 is set to launch on Xbox 360 on August 31. But before that, you'll get a chance to meet Chuck in a downloadable prologue entitled Dead Rising 2: CASE ZERO.

Is it just me, or does Chuck never Smile in any of those pictures. Also his leather boy outfit reminded me of something, How come none of you mentioned Rob Halford's characters in Brutal Legend? Especially the Fire Lord, and his leather biker outfit taken straight out of a Judas Priest Concert.
he's no Frank West, but I appreciate Capcom making heroes who are proudly sporting some body fuzz. :3

This just drives me insane! As someone who has worked in the "custom leather" industry I must set the record straight... Chaps by there very nature and design have never, ever provided any covering for ones ass. Therefore you cannot have a pair of "ass-less" chaps! You can take a pair of pants and cut out the material covering your ass and then you'd have a pair of ass-less pants, but you cannot have a pair of ass-less chaps.

Do they blur the butt crack like they did in games like Saints Row 2? Can he only wear specific costumes or can you have him fight zombies in just the thong from this leather daddy outfit?
