Final Fantasy XIII PS3 Bonuses

final-fantasy-xiii.jpg

Because this is the first time that Final Fantasy is getting a release across multiple platforms, there's been some debate as to whether to buy Final Fantasy XIII on the Xbox 360 or the PlayStation 3. We've already mentioned how the 360 version has compressed sound and graphics and comes on multiple discs, which is mostly the reason why I opted for the PS3 one. And obviously, if you only have one of the two consoles, your choice is pretty much made for you. But if you are still on the fence, you might be interested to know that the PS3 version of FF XIII has an exclusive bonus offer for Final Fantasy XIV (which is not coming to the 360, btw). Registering your game with the enclosed code at the Squeenix website will net you a secret in-game item for FF XIV, and enter you for the opportunity to become a beta tester for FF XIV. It's a nice perk for the Sony loyalists, but honestly, not a big deal for me since I'm not an MMO fan. Howzabout you?

As a firmly non-MMO gamer, I couldn't care less.

Unlikely to play FFXIV.
I didn't even get one of these codes in my box anyway. Maybe cos it was the collectors addition, dunno.

loved FFXI and can't wait FFXIV now that my love for Bioware is dead because of Dragon Age and especially Mass Effect 2, so I won't play ToR.

Oh yeah? Well, Xbox 360 owners get AVATAR COSTUMES which is so much cooler than beta testing. Yeah, I'm pretty sure if Google were here, they'd agree that they would have much more gladly given people virtual clothing than betas of stuff.

Avatar Clothes?!? Free Avatar clothes?!? Now I regret getting the PS3 version, pretty graphics and all (because I'm sure I wouldn't be able to tell the difference, really) I love anything free for the Avatars since they started charging for clothes and props...

Totally meh for me and many others I'm sure.

Besides, I would much rather the 360 version because of more consistent framerate.

Slightly higher detail in the PS3 version doesn't attract me.

LOL..you all are so funny. I got the PS3 version cause I have enough money to own both systems and don't have to come on here and act jealous. LOL....I'm excited for the beta and happy to get the in game free item...and especially happy to have the game all on one disc with better textures...I love my 360 but the PS3 version is the clear winner. Just deal with it or get a better job so you can own both systems next time...LOL!!!!!
