PAX East: Practically Explicit PAX East Panel Excitement
That's right, this week is slowly ramping up to PAX East in Boston, starting on Friday and going through Sunday. We've heard various announcements as to what companies will be showcasing their games there, and even some of the contests going on at it (besides the Omegathon). Yesterday Gam-Boy even gave us word of the GayGamer meet-up that will be happening on Saturday night.
Well I'm here to remind you now that I will be putting on a panel at PAX on Sunday with Fruit Brute, Tiny Dancer, and Game-Boy filling out the roster. We'll also have the always vivacious Helen McWilliams in the panel from Harmonix, who always leads us to some lively and humorous conversations. The panel, aptly titled Forcing Your Way In & Coming Out On Top: The Game Industry in Rainbow Color, will be taking place in the Wyvern theater on Sunday at 1:30pm, so make sure you mark it in your date books and tell all your friends to be there. As the title suggests, the panel will be on how to make it into the gaming industry, and even more so, what advantages, set backs, and opportunities are present in the industry as a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, or Transgender person. Also as the wording of the title suggests, we take the panel and some of the topics tongue-in-cheek, so be prepared for plenty of laughs and lots of inappropriate stories.
All that said, I'm personal pumped for PAX, and hopefully we'll get to see a number of you there. Along with that though, I'm a little worried with the meet-up happening the night before the panel, mainly because it'll be at a bar and we'll all be ready to party. I guess that's what hangover medicine and sunglasses are made for, so I'll be sure to be my normal Chipper self at the panel no matter what happens the night before, just no loud noises please, Daddy will need his quiet time.
