Video: Co-Op Boss Action Revealed In Multi-Snake Peace Walker Trailer

Kojima Productions definitely isn't slacking in the marketing of their newest stealth hit, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. In just a few short days, they've put out a whole host of videos to pique the interest of otaku, stealth game nuts, and co-op fans alike. We got you one of the more interesting character videos so far featuring a song from the game sung music-video style, but this next video is purely a vision of some of the co-op that early trailers have touted.

Titled "Co-ed Co-ops: Boss Battale as a Group," this video clocks in at over eight minutes and is full of gameplay, from the very first moment of revealing the boss (an attack helicopter) to the hard-won end of the fight, which looks to involve three Snakes with their own customizations and gear handy.

Even with the Metal Gear feel, the tactics and equipment make the comparisons to Monster Hunter games quite apt. The POV player uses a healing dartgun on his teammates and also uses the game's new 'Fulton' quick balloon system to lay a trap of missiles for the enemy copter.

In true Kojima fashion, there are also some bizarre and campy additions which would only make sense in the world of MGS. If you don't have time to perform CPR on a fellow Snake, for example, you can jump in your Ambulance Cardboard Box, with working siren, and rush over to share some health with him. There are also a few massive weapons which only work with a buddy, including 'Co-op Thunder,' where two players paint the same targets, and a Railgun which needs hand-charged separately to deliver juice to the person holding the weapon.

Realism it ain't, but Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker does look to have a solid handle on some new gadgets to make the co-op experience fulfilling for players who work together. This video should be followed by others, as the studio gives us a taste of all that lies ahead for Big Boss. Peace Walker is still due out on June 8.

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
