Video: Kick-Ass
At first, I was a little skeptical that this tie-in game for Kick-Ass was coming out with the release of the movie, but I guess it's okay since it's just a top-down beat-em-up that's gonna be available on the PlayStation Network and the iPhone/iPod Touch App store. You'll play as three of the main characters, Kick-Ass, Big Daddy and Hit Girl, through eight missions of multiple environments, bosses and mini-bosses. The co-op seems to only be local, but there's annoying Facebook integration if you're into that sort of thing. Not sure how a "Facebook mission" is going to work, but we'll see. Honestly, it looks like just another beat-em-up, but the thing that makes Kick-Ass kickass is the outrageous humor. If they can bring that across intact, this might be a fun little game. Of course, it's adapting the movie, not the comic, and the jury's still out on whether the movie even captures the spirit of the comic. We'll have to wait and see!
