GayGamer Reader Appears In Boyz U.K.
You may recall a few weeks back an article I wrote calling for submission from UK gay gamers for inclusion in Boyz UK, a UK based gay entertainment magazine. Well it looks like they picked someone from our pool of readers and featured them in an article! The article is called Passions and features a local gay man who has a particular interest, in this case, video games.
Sean Joesbury shared his passion for games with the Boyz crew and talks a bit about Kingdom Hearts and Bayonetta as well as his experiences with the GayGamer.net community. He also mentions a love for Heavy Rain which I will definitely have to agree with him on. As it turns out, Sean's passion reaches further than just gaming. He's actually taking a course on video game story development at his university. Perhaps he will become the next great video game story teller and heaven knows we need more of them.
It's great to see a member of our community featured in a non-gaming publication. It would seem that gay gamers are no longer having to live in the gaming closet. Congratulations, Sean!

Heh, nice one :) I don't know if gays have ever been in the gamer closet, though - I met my first fellow gay guys through online gaming years ago. Perhaps we should think of it as a sign of gay guys coming out as gamers, rather than the other way around ;)
