L4D2's The Passing Out Next Week

If it's been a while since you waded into the zombie apocalypse, Valve's ready to send you back , revealing that the first bit of DLC for Left 4 Dead 2, The Passing, will be hitting the PC and Xbox 360 next week.
So enough worlds colliding, when is "The Passing" coming out? Well... if it was coming out next week we would say right here - Left 4 Dead 2's The Passing is coming out next week and we will be updating the blog next week with more news on the release. There you go.
Seems a somewhat convoluted way to say something simple, but it gets the job done. Expect specifics soon, but at least now you can start brushing up on your decapitation skills leading up to the release.
In case you missed the original announcement, The Passing sees the gang from the 2nd game running into the survivors from the first. For 560 Microsoft Points / $7, it also delivers a few new weapons and a couple of new game modes. Presumably the exact nature of those modes will be detailed when we get more news next week.
Valve also mentioned that the Midnight Riders, the fake heavy metal band featured prominently in L4D2's Dark Carnival campaign, now have a couple of tracks out on the Rock Band Network. Assuming that you don't go into some PTSD-related flashback whenever you hear the band's music, now you can pick up a real (fake plastic) guitar and play the songs without having to worry about a horde of Tanks bearing down on you. Check them out here.
