Level-5 Developing Time Travelers For New Hardware

In a recent interview with Famitsu Magazine, Level-5's Akihiro Hino and Jiro Ishi, the men behind Professor Layton and Japan-exclusive adventure game 428 respectively, announced that they would be teaming up for their next game, Time Travelers. The developers were especially coy, even by videogame announcement standards, refusing even to specify what genre the game is. Ishi did give one small, if incredibly vague, hint about the game claiming, "...I have an idea about time travel that has never been done before, even in movies or books."
So what's all of the excitement about a new game announcement with no details about the game? There is one other detail that Hino and Ishi revealed about Time Travelers: that the game is in development for hardware that hasn't been released yet. Given Hino's work on the Professor Layton series and Level-5's close relationship with Nintendo, this could hint that Time Travelers will be heading to the 3DS, though one could also consider Playstation Move or Project Natal as new hardware that the game could potentially utilize. And let's not forget the Wii vitality sensor.
On second thought, maybe we should forget about that last one.
