Mac Steam Gets A Hot Steamy Date

PC users may have gotten an pretty big update for Steam this week, but the really exciting news on the Valve front is that the Mac version of Stream finally has a release date. That's right, in just a mere 12 days from now on May 12th even more people will be able to take part in everything awesome about my favorite digital content provider. But if you all remember correctly, this is just the first step in Valve's Steam Play initiative that will be bringing about simultaneous releases for new games (starting with much-anticipated Portal 2) and allowing multi-platform gamers to bring their games from their Mac and PC and vice versa. Those busy beavers over at Valve have already confirmed that online heavyweights such as Team Fortress 2 and the Left 4 Dead series will among the first titles available for Steam Play and have hinted that there's more to come.
Just think... soon enough we'll have even more (possibly better?) cheap dates, no more excuses for crappy online on Mac games, and I'll have the ability to get even more use out of my copy of Plants vs. Zombies, which is what this is all really about if you ask me.
