New Silent Hill, New Developer

Since Origins, the Silent Hill series has seen some shifting around in the locale of its development teams. Gamasutra attended a Konami press event this past week where it was revealed that the latest developer to take on a title in the series will be Vatra Games, based out of the Czech Republic.
Vatra is primarily known for Rush 'N Attack Ex-Patriot and the upcoming remake of Rush 'N Attack. They are affiliated with the UK company Kuju Entertainment.
Speculation about the title? None thus far, it appears. Gamasutra reports seeing a trailer which focused on a man in a darkened town. I would say that's at least a guarantee that it is set in the universe we are expecting. The only other news is to expect 'the silence to end in June,' presumably at E3.
While Silent Hill: Origins and Homecoming seemed to have been looked at suspiciously for being the first two to step outside the Team Silent development team (though other reasons certainly existed), and Japan itself, Shattered Memories seemed to draw slightly more favorable reviews. Then again, The Room was generally regarded as not living up to the psychological threat the previous games in the series had fostered.
What of you, readers? Still awaiting the game that will make you fall in love with the series again? Like Wootini, did you enjoy Shattered Memories and hope Konami is back on track? Or have the other titles been pleasing so far?

I had a dream to start my company, nevertheless I did not have enough amount of cash to do that. Thank heaven my mate recommended to take the home loans. Hence I took the short term loan and made real my old dream.
That's a stupid comment. I think the Silent Hill franchise peaked with 3 and they never really managed to recapture the magic! Having said that I still bought Homecoming and its scary!
Shattered Memories was AMAZING. I'm definitely interested to see where this goes. Without yamaoka especially.
eek! a comment bot.
I know Yamoaka left Konami, but does that necessarily mean he left the series? I can't imagine SH without Yamoaka.
I'm excited to see what yet another team brings to SH. Shattered Memories was a welcome, albeit non-canonical, shift for a series that needed a shift. Homecoming and Origins were lacking story depth and repeat value, and The Room was plagued with poor gameplay structure (though the story was actually pretty good IMO).
