SingStar Adds Online Battles!
I have to say I got a little excited when I saw Sony's press release announcing that a free update to SingStar was arriving in June that would add an all-new Online Battle mode to the game. But then I realized that this is for Europe only, so I'm left out in the cold. Much like with the SingStore, North America gets shafted.
But for those of you enjoying SingStar in Europe, a quick update will let you send invites to your PlayStation Network friends, and as long as you both have the same song to select, you can battle it out. You can see your opponent's score live, and if they've got a PlayStation Eye, well... you might see a whole lot more!
Now if only SCEA would put a little more effort behind SingStar in the US, it might get more play in my house than Lips. Heck, they still haven't released the wireless mics in North America yet!

I have the Singstar store update. I do believe it got a NA release. And actually, if this battle comes, I'll play more Singstar.
Can't you just log into the psn with a euro account etc? That's what us brits do when the US PSN has exclusives...
I hate that they always leave the US version out even with song updates. You can log into the EU account you have created for somethings, but periodically I get "song is not valid" or some online downloadable content is not accessible cause it can tell where your IP is from I think.
If you want the mics that bad just order them from HMV.com like I did. They have no problem shipping them across the pond even though they aren't supposed to. haha
