Video: Alan Wake Live-Action Prequel
To whet your appetite for the May 18 release of Alan Wake, Microsoft has produced Bright Falls, a six-part live-action prequel to the Xbox 360 game, a trailer for which I have helpfully embedded above this text here. The first two episodes will be available exclusively on Xbox LIVE for Gold members starting on April 25, and for everyone else on April 26 before being posted at BrightFalls.com on April 27. (Although why you'd rather watch it on a computer screen instead of your TV is beyond me...)
They're comparing Bright Falls to Twin Peaks, and from the trailer, that does seem to be what they're going for. Shot on location in Oregon, the series is directed by Philip Van, who apparently won some awards in film festivals like Sundance, and features actors like Tom Noonan, who was in a bajillion things, but most recently on Damages, and Cooper Huckabee, who is going to be on the new season of True Blood (but I've never heard of them). Still, I'll probably check out the first couple episodes on Sunday just to see what's up.

This is Awesome! I was already excited for Alan Awake :D
