Video: Dead Space 2 Leaves Sanity Behind
The latest trailer out of EA shows off their excellent new horror franchise with Dead Space 2, in a debut trailer than does look to enhance the character fidelity of the original. Isaac Clarke barely escaped the ISS Ishimura the first time, and now he's back and being subjected to a Rorschach test that shows off just how badly the events of the first game affected him.
The inkblots flow from one to the next with great style, but one thing we wish this trailer had was more gameplay or sense of danger. Plenty of mutated space-zombies show up, but they all fit neatly in the bounds of the Rorschach outlines. The climax of the short video does show off Isaac's face much better than it ever was in the original game, which may mean that EA/Visceral are working on adding more personality to the character rather than leaving him a silent and gruesome mask.
Dead Space 2 has no set release date yet, but look forward to the full force of EA's marketing machine to surround this game before we hear the end of it.
