Battle.net & Facebook Conspire, Worlds Conquered

It was only ever a runic health potion away: the world's most popular social platform and the world's most popular online gaming platform were married today in a quiet service performed by Activision head Bobby Kotick's personal Satanic priest. Plans for the integration of the two megaservices were also announced.
First up, StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty players will be able to easily add Facebook friends who are registered with Battle.net to their Battle.net friends lists. That's the only feature announced so far, but expect more integration between the two platforms - anyone who's joined me in the SC2 beta will know that Battle.net and ease-of-use regarding social functionality is a huge priority for Blizzard at the moment, and will only become more so after the July 27 release of SC2.
Blizzard COO Paul Sams cheered the move:
"We're pleased to be working with Facebook to integrate their platform with Battle.net to enhance the social-entertainment experience for our players... This new functionality will make it easier than ever to connect with friends on Battle.net and play StarCraft II and future Blizzard Entertainment games together."
Keep an eye out for Activision Blizzard Facebook's upcoming merger with the nation of Canada later this year, forming the world's first Epic Lootocracy. The new country will be rechristened 'Northrend' as soon as Kotick's thralls finish construction of his steel fortress of unstoppable undead might.
Actual info after the jump.
