Happy Mario Galaxy 2 Day!
If there's anything that can temper the sadness of No More LOST Forever Day, it's the fact that it's also Super Mario Galaxy 2 Day! You know the saying: when the universe closes a door, it opens a plumber. If you're like me and you preordered from somewhere shipping the game to you early next week, then you're probably completely jealous of everyone getting their Cloud Mario on as we speak. If that's the case, maybe listening to the entire soundtrack of the game will help fix that. Or maybe it will make the wait harder.
YouTube user MahitoYokota (one of the composers of the game, or a really good impostor) has uploaded the tracks for all stages of the game. As a result if you really like to be in the dark when you start a game, you may want to avoid looking at the titles. Seriously though, you would have to be really picky to care. The soundtrack should be available for purchase soon.
Meanwhile, who's got it right now? Feel free to rub salt in my self-inflicted wounds in the comments below.

Despite telling myself weeks ago that I would wait until after going abroad to purchase this, I gave in and have been happily playing it all day. So far so good, nothing earth-shattering but the level design is clearly brilliant at every turn. Also, Yoshi is just plain adorable now.
My excitement & lack of patience were being twisted & bound together in the days leading up to the SMG2 release date. I couldn't handle the pain any longer, so I gave my head/heart a state of grace as I pre-ordered the game from walmart (in fear of stores being sold out on game-day). The game has now been released & I'm stuck with an email saying the game wont be delivered until June 2nd-4th. I am now avoiding all reviews/videos of the game until my mailbox is impregnated by the mailman with a Mario Wii title for me to deliver it from bondage. In the meantime, I'll just sit in the dark, cradling the Wii in my arms while I whisper into it's disc slot, "Everything is going to be okay."
It shall be my treat after I'm done with this school term & after I'm moved and situated in the new apartment. i.e. I'll be picking it up mid-June
