Video: Mark Ronson's Circuit Breaker
The music video for Mark Ronson's Circuit Breaker definitely skirts the line between Legend of Zelda homage and shameless rip-off, but for a guy whose last album was full of cover songs, that's not really too surprising. Directed by Jordan Galland and Gary Breslin, the adventure changes a bit once the not-Link in the video collects all the pieces he needs to build the ultimate weapon, but it's still all very 8-bit. The song is the first off of Ronson's upcoming album, Record Collection, due later this year.
Zelda love seems to be blooming lately, maybe because it's coming on four years since the last console entry and we're all a little antsy about it. Hopefully it won't be too much longer before we get the real thing in our hands again.

Is it okay if I think this song is weak? The video's fine but the music is... weak. For someone credited on some of my all-time favorite albums (Adele's "19", Amy Winehouse's "Back in Black", Christina Aguilera's "Back to Basics" for selections off the top of my head), this was underwhelming at best.
I know we're not doing music reviews but... yeah. Two cents!
It is perfectly fine to think the music isn't great. Personally I don't really get it either (even the video is just kind of all right), but thought I'd put it out there for others to make up their own minds.
