Video: Team Fortress 2 Engineer Teaser
Given that every other class has received his update, it was only a matter of time before Valve released the Engineer class update. Above is the teaser trailer, released last night, which does not provide much information, but plenty of speculation.
See, PC Gamer has at least five things it spotted and on which it can speculate: the dispenser with a radar (an item that was discussed and scrapped long ago), a metal head, blueprints for a robotic arm and leg (perhaps the last two are related?), legs with a flamethrower (perhaps a new type of sentry?), and what they call red light gizmos. Leave it to Team Fortress 2 fans to be able to pick apart a video for any sign of clues.
Given that the company with which we're dealing is Valve, expect more amusing details released in the coming weeks.
And now, perhaps our console siblings can get the updates. It has long been a point of contention that Valve has released these patches and updates regularly (and for free) for owners of the PC package, but that in order to do so on the consoles they would have to charge for it. Bandied about has been the explanation that Valve was always waiting on the content to be finished so they could release it without feeling they were nickel-and-diming their playerbase. Whether or not that's true will have to be established.

I'm glad my clan's server is going to put a class limit on Engies when the update hits so we don't have an entire server full of only Engies and Spies.
