Demon's Souls Goes Cheap For A Limited Time

Atlus sent out word that a you can now grab last year's cult smash Demon's Souls for the (relatively) low price of $29.99, or about $20-30 off the normal price. The deal is only in place at a few select retailers: Gamestops in the US and Canada, Amazon and Amazon.ca, and GoGamer.com. While it may not seem like a crazy bargain to most people, Atlus games don't often drop far or fast, with a few exceptions.
The game was pretty much universally praised last year, ending up on top of more than a couple Game of the Year lists. It's tough, although I'll admit I'm pretty bad at most games and I still made pretty good progress (pick the Royal class first!). I still need to get back in and take out the last few Demons before my skills completely evaporate. No word on when the sale is going to end, but it's probably not going to last forever.

I hope a lot of people get this, Demon's Souls is (mechanics-wise) one of the very best games I've played.
Royal class is good if you like magic, but the game's so well balanced that there are lots of great early-game strategies. Maces for priests are surprisingly good for breaking guards, as are heavy weapons. Spears give you a great early advantage and so do bows. A ring that lets you wear heavy armor and still move unencumbered is something you don't want to miss. God, just talking about it I want to go play again!
I would really like to try Demon's Souls but everything I've heard about the difficulty turns me away. Games should be fun, not frustrating.
@kieth. If you like easy games, you got plenty to choose from. But there are a lot of people who grew up on hard games who find most games today WAY too easy, and thus not fun (as you said, games should be fun).
Demon Souls is for people like that, and it's a good thing there are still a few games for people who enjoy a challenge.
It's also not as hard as all that... much of the difficulty is like Mega Man. You die from some terrible thing and you're like "ah, well... I'll have to remember that is there next time." and the penalty for death is not really that bad.
