DSi XL Is Feeling Blue

... Midnight blue, that is, which is the newest color for Nintendo's DSi XL handheld. Like the original bronze and burgundy, the midnight blue color will be available at $189.99. Obvously, it will have the same larger screen as the others (the XL kind of gives it away), but it will also feature the pre-loaded Flipnote Studio, Brain Age Express: Math and Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters as well as the Photo Clock and DSi Browser. The midnight blue DSi XL will land in retail outlets across the US on July 11.
I don't know... I kind of feel "midnight" blue should be darker... Like almost purple... If I was going to upgrade to an XL, though, I think I'd still go with the burgundy...

Sigh, I should of waited.
Why buy a DSi XL when the 3DS is on its way? Nintendo has the very annoying habit of immediately following a hardware release with the announcement of a new and improved version. I bought the DSi (primarily because of the larger screens) only to find out shortly afterward that the new XL version with even larger screens was coming out. I'm still pissed.
At least the DSi is actually portable, and I made a very rare move and got it on release day, so I'm not kicking myself over it. Still those DSiXL colors are so damn attractive, I mean burgandy, a tastefully understated brown, and the MOST PERFECT shade of blue I have ever seen? If I was a millionare I would have gotten one by now and kicked myself when the MOST PERFECT shade of blue finally presented itself on a game system later on.
Eh, we can all live without.
I need to replace my DS, and since GameStop typically has deals where you can trade in for the new model of DS, I may well take this (blue is my favorite color, and wasn't too happy with the DSi matte blue).
Not really curious about the DSiXL. I already bought the DSi while my DS was working perfectly, I don't really need more DS. Don't like too much the color either but I don't that much of a taste for colors in general +_+U
