Are you one of the two people that never owned a PlayStation, PS2, PSP or PS3? In that case, you better listen up, as one of the best PlayStation titles from SquareEnix is headed to one more platform: the iPhone. No, it's not the underrated Vagrant Story, but rather 1997 strategy RPG classic, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War Of The Lions!
Out of all the game's for SquareEnix to shamelessly port (let's call a spade a spade here, folks), we might not have "needed" this one as much as a few other titles I can think of off hand, but I can't deny that having this classic title within arms reach at all times is quite tempting. Yes, I already one my PS1 and PSP copies, but there's something about this game that will always remain special to me. It wasn't the very first SRPG that I had played and not the one that I've played the longest (or even completed for that matter), but playing the title, no matter the platform, has always been a treat. And speaking of treats, how nice is it that the "new" translation and artwork used in the PSP version will be the one featured here? I bet this will look really nice on an iPad. I'm sure there are people that prefer the PlayStation 1 original, but those people are just plain crazy so we can ignore them. While we don't know a price yet, SquareEnix was able to announce that the title will appear on the iTunes Store on September 15th this year.
