E3 '10: Microsoft Likes Numbers

Along with last night's announcement that Project Natal will be henceforth be named Kinect, today Microsoft revealed a new model for the Xbox 360, the Xbox 360 250GB. Coming in a chic black, so you can complement your black Wii and PS3, it will ship with a 250GB internal hard drive and built-in 802.11n Wi-Fi.
Along with Kinect, it will have a custom port for the device (otherwise you have to connect it to the older models and then separately). The model is supposed to be quieter than before, and the accessories will come in black as well. One last nifty little feature will be the addition of USB ports, bumping the 360 to five.
The power supply and external hard drives from previous models will unfortunately not be compatible.
Premiering at $299, this also means price drops for the older SKUs:
- Xbox Arcade: $149
- Elite: $249
- Bundles: $349
Shipping today, you should be able to find the new model in stores by the end of this week.
