E3 '10: Project Natal Becomes Kinect At E3 World Premier Event

Tonight during a spectacular show by Cirque du Soliel, Xbox's motion control system gave up it's moniker as Project Natal and became "Kinect." The Galen Auditorium was packed to the rafters to see the big reveal and big it was. Exotic costumes, dancers, video projections, music and even a giant elephant puppet. It was Kinect viewed through the lens of Cirque du Soliel.
In the middle of all this hub-bub, we were treated to some scenes from many upcoming Kinect games which included bowling, soccer, rafting, yoga, hip hop dancing and a good old fashioned light saber battle featuring Darth Vader himself. Other features like video chat and a romp with some cute fluffy animals were also highlighted although just enough to give a good tease.
The pomp and circumstance was undoubtedly an attention getter, but to get a real idea of what Kinetic will be like in action, we'll have to wait a few days for E3 to begin in earnest. Be sure to check here at GayGamer for all our E3 2010 coverage starting tomorrow!

Aww...
I quite liked the sound of Project Natal.
I wish they'd kept that as the official name.
