New Pokemon Black/White Details Leak
Thanks to a few pages leaked from the next issue of Japanese game magazine CoroCoro, we get a few new details about the upcoming Pokemon Black and White. A list:
- The adorable fellow to the right is Chiramii, a chinchilla pokemon. It's a normal type, and obviously fits right in with all their other painfully cute rodents. I hope there's a subplot where someone is skinning them to make coats.
- This generation's new main flyer is Mamepato, the baby pigeon pokemon, who looks more like a real pigeon than Pidgey ever did.
- As for other new pokemon, there's the creatively named Gear, a pure steel type that looks like a pair of gears; Mun'na, a floral pink blob with psychic powers; Hihidaruma, a flaming ape (sounds like a few guys I know); Shimama, an electric zebra; and Meguroko, a desert crocodile who is a dark/ground type. I'm guessing most of those names will probably change for the English release. Maybe even Gear!
- You'll now be getting your starters from Professor Araragi, a lady! Looks like the glass ceiling of pokemon academia has been shattered.
- As for some details on pokemon that have already been revealed, Reshiram is the White Yang Pokemon and will be Dragon/Fire type, while Zekrom is the Black Yin Pokemon and will be Dragon/Electric.
- Zoroa (and thus Zoroark) will only be available in game by trading a promotional Celebi over to a copy of Black or White. It remains to be seen if this will also be the case outside Japan.
- A "Random Match" feature has been added to the GTS, which allows you to play against another player, presumably in real time. There is also a way to upload your save file to the internet, although the purpose of that is unclear.
There are a few more details at the link below, as well as scans of all the pages, but I think those are most of the salient points. I'm still liking the designs this generation, but what do you think: exciting additions or just more noise?

Speaking as a lady who loves ladies, Araragi is incredibly hot. This makes me insanely happy. Well, any new Pokemon game does, and I think B+W looks cool so far, but some more fine, smart ladies is always a huge plus. (Sup, Cynthia?)
Though the alligator is cutest to me. Love his goggles.

And is anyone else bothered by the fact that they can call something "the chinchilla Pokemon" when there is no such thing as a chinchilla in the Pokemon universe ecosystem. Same thing with Pikachu being "the electric mouse Pokemon" when there is no such thing in their ecosystem as a mouse.
I'm starting to like the designs for this game. at first i didn't. Random Battle is something pokemon needed in DPP but was really only an option on the Wii game. Art wise i'm really happy for the female Prof but i do hope they carry over the 'tree' naming system to her. Perhaps professor Willow? The Girl Player is so cute it makes me wanna go straight so i will definitely be playin as a girl this time X-D. oh, BTW, Higidorma is based off of Dorma dolls it's kinda like a wish making doll thing from japan. The gator is based off of a needle nosed crocodile which typically has bulging eyes so that's why it has goggles.
I'm all pokey excited for this one. now lets hope that otter starter evolves into something cooler because MAN is it UGLY! X-D
