Same-Sex Marriage In Frontierville
Posted by Cuppycake at The Border House, I learned today that FrontierVille, Zynga's spiritual successor to FarmVille that merges with a bit of Oregon Trail, allows for same-sex marriage. Since I recently have been trying out more and more Facebook games, as soon as I have free time away from E3 (not likely until Friday), I hope to test this out myself.
The note Cuppycake leaves is that the announcement it posts is still a bit heteronormative, mentioning a bride and groom regardless of the sex of your partner. Still, as she mentions, it's a step forward. As you choose your sex at the start of the game, it's nice that the game allows for you to choose the sex of your partner as well, instead of assuming an opposite sex.

Just tested that and yes, it's possible to have same sex marriage in Frontier Ville :D
You can change your or your spouse's sex along with name and appearance any time.
Now I have to do the quests to get children and see how they worked that out....
FrontierVille is much better than FarmVille
The only problem is the energy refill and the fact that to complete a building you need friends.
