Video: Attention Monkey Island Fans, Jolly Rover Available Now
Can't wait for the special edition of Guybrush Threepwoods second adventure? Can't get enough point-and-clicky pirate games? Dog lover? Then have I got a game for you. Some of you may remember our own Game-Boy's impressions of Jolly Rover back in April, and earlier this week the game mysteriously appeared in the Steam store. Now, personally I'm more of a cat person, but Jolly Rover's wit, humor, and clever puzzles instantly won me over. In Jolly Rover you play as anthropomorphic wiener dog Gaius James Rover as he deals with pirates, voodoo, cannibals, peppercorns, and a (mildly annoying) parrot sidekick on his quest to become a famous circus clown with only snappy writing and a feathered hat to defend himself.
For those on the fence about Jolly Rover, there is a demo available on Steam, or you can download the full game from Steam or Direct2Drive for about $20.
