Video: Ilomilo Is Too Cute For Words
I'm a sucker for puzzle-platformers. Back in the day I'd love to play (and replay) stuff like The Adventures of Lolo and Solomon's Key for days. These are the types of games were you're presented a with a task, which was usually along the "go from Point A to Point B" lines, and a simple game mechanic or two to get it done. Sadly most games today have to be everything to everyone, so these straightforward puzzle games are now a rare commodity. Though they do show up now and then on Xbox Live Arcade, like the oddly titled ilomilo coming our way from Microsoft Game Studios and Southhend Interactive.
In this game, you control a pair of cute red and blue characters, one at a time, and attempt to bring them together. This sounds simple until you realize that these little guys live in a strange land that looks like an M.C. Escher coloring book with characters brought to you by Tim Burton. You'll have characters watching up the walls and ceilings, flying through the air, elevators powered by monsters, and even some strange dog/snake hybrid popping out of the ground that can barf up tiles. Perhaps even more peculiar is that this intriguing little title also appears to pack in at least one retro "8-bit"styled mini game. No definite release date has been given yet, but with the game looking this far along, it can't be too long until we're all guiding the cute little red and blue creatures together.

Super cute!
Wow.. this looks promising. I love the design. Just hope it's not too confusing!
Its always red and blue getting together. Would be nice for once if they showed Red and Red getting together, or Blue and Blue =p

Cute graphics are all fine and good, but if the whole soundtrack sounds like this... well, thank goodness for custom soundtracks. I think 10 minutes of this would give me diabetes.
And WTF is up with Cap'n Crunch doing his impression of the dog from Duck Hunt at the end there?!
Its very nice resource.I really appreciate you.You done a great job. Thanks for sharing with us.Don't stop your bloging.Keep it up....
