Video: Vanquish E3 Gameplay Trailer
Platinum Games will be showing off Vanquish, its big console follow up to Bayonetta, at this year's E3, but above we've got a hint at what the game looks like in motion. Well, as long as your eyes can keep up - the game is a tad busy. A good busy, though! The Gears of War influence is most prominent, but they seem to have replaced the unrelenting angst with rocket boots. You play a shiny super soldier in the future, where San Francisco has been blown up and a lady is president. Are they trying to tell us something?
Vanquish is directed by Shinji Mikami, the man behind Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe, and God Hand, and you can see elements of all those here in one way or another. The question is will this game sell like games in the former two series, or more like the latter?

This looks like Final Fantasy the Shooter and those are some dire voice actors.
Ok, I'm going to play the shit out of this. Mostly because I LIVE in San Francisco, and I really don't appreciate being blown to fucking pieces. On a side note, neat action!
