What Was Missing From Your E3?

Well, E3 is over again for another year. While there are still a few impressions and articles due from the the GayGamer crew who attended this year, the companies have packed up their wonderful toys and gone home, leaving only copious media and preorders behind. Sure, there was a lot of stuff that was awesome, and there was some stuff that wasn't so hot, but what about the stuff that wasn't there at all? A lot of rumors and speculation were floated ahead of this E3, what were you looking forward to that you didn't hear a peep about?
While Valve's Gabe Newell showing up at the Sony conference to show off Portal 2 for the PS3 was an awesome surprise (and completely bizarre), I really expected to hear something about Half Life 2: Episode 3 this year. At this point, if it were any company other than Valve making it, we'd all be crying vaporware. Luckily, Portal 2 looks pretty amazing, so as long as that doesn't stretch too far into its 2011 release date, I can wait.
The card with the February 2011 date that Bioware included with copies of Dragon Age: Origins: Awakening made me hope we'd see a bit from the game at this year's Expo. Beyond some more information about The Old Republic, we didn't hear much from Bioware this year at all. Understandable, considering the big year they just had, but I was still optimistic. February always seemed a little soon for a full fledged sequel to such a huge RPG, so now I'm wondering if the date may referred to the animated movie, or something else entirely.
Lastly, when word started leaking out about Hulu coming to the Xbox 360 earlier this month, I thought we might hear something about it during their press conference. Instead we got ESPN, which I can't say will be getting a lot of use from me. While my TV needs are generally met, I think it would be a good move in general for consoles. Just watching how my friends use their systems, Netflix has been one of the most popular additions to this generation, and I think Hulu would have a similar appeal to a lot of casual users, even if there was a small subscription fee involved.
What about you? Any major sequels missing, and announcements you would have liked to hear? Feel free to share below.

I think this E3 lacked of a big BIG surprised from Microsoft and Sony. Valve and Portal 2 were surprises for the ps3 but Portal has a ps3 version already so I don't think it could be considered like Final Fantasy going to the 360 like a couple of years ago.
It was basically nothing 'too' surprising I mean the one game I was looking forward to hear about (SWTOR) was basically just a recap of info I had either already found out about or guessed. Thankfully this guy called Angry Joe did a wonderful interview with one of the Devs and asked questions that were from the fans and didn't just ask questions about things we already know about so yay for that :D
Otherwise it was a lot of rehash games.
The next Half Life installment was, as always, the biggest one for me. Disappointed again... Then there was Saints Row 3, which dropped out at the last minute. I was also hoping for some news about the next Elder Scrolls title.
That's three strikes for this E3.
I kinda hoped there woulda been some information from Insomniac, whether it be about Resistance 3, or the multiplatform title.
Elder Scrolls V, Hello Bestheda, remember us?
For me this year was a disappointment.
Complete lack of some titles i really expected to get a bit more info on. Last Guardian? Nope. Arkham Asylum 2? Not even an official name. Resistance 3? Nope. The New Mechwarrior game? Nööööpe. New Hitman? Long shot, but no. Syndicate? Also long shot, but also no.
There were also no real surprises (for anyone who doesn't own a Wii). All the games we saw from Sony or MS we knew about. Nintendo basically saves it in this regard, but new announcements just for the console that gathers more dust than anything else in my home (i think the dust on it is like a protective armor; yeah i know i should clean more...) is a bit of a sad thing.
And finally, the ridiculous tactic of showing some titles to press only is still present. I really really really really hate it when titles are shown behind closed doors on a show like E3. The fancy booths and the flashy presentations at E3 are not for the media, its for the hyped up people grabbing on every bit of information regarding a hot new game: the consumers. If your game is ready to be shown to press members, then for gods sake release video footage. I am looking at you Deus Ex. Seriously, just release some edited footage, but show us the thing in action. I can preorder the game, but i cant see what it will look like?? FU, Deus Ex people! Not seeing any gameplay footage of this title is my personal biggest disappointment of this year.
So this year failed all my hopes and expectations, and its a big fail............of course i will be in full E3 fever again next year, and again suffer through disappointment. The life of a gamer is a tough one, but its the life we chose..
SNKP with King of Fighters XIII was a no-show. :(
Pretty meh this year. Unsurprisingly, I'm gonna complain that Valve didn't even comment on Ep3. At all. I'm certain they're working on it, but I have a feeling that other projects are getting fast tracked ahead of it. But really, Nintendo had a good show, but that's the only real news to come out of this. It really seemed like "Here's a lot of stuff that everyone already knows quite a bit about. And Microsoft is proving they're trying to steal the wii's thunder by basically showing wii games on kinect. Which is also gonna be crazy expensive."
I had been hearing rumors for 6 months leading up to E3 about the possibility of backwards compatibility coming back to the PS3. Nothing.. other then that I'm hearing a resounding "meh" concerning this years E3. :(
I loved this year. :3 A lot of good information from Nintendo and Sony, and a few surprises too. What breaks my heart is that Edge of Twilight seems to have disappeared. I know it didn't have a large publisher attached, so E3 might be the wrong place to hope for word on it, but I think I'm more excited about that game than Metal Gear Rising! (But just barely. n.n)
I thought this year's E3 was a letdown. It was more of a dog and pony show for the hyped media, flexing the new motion gaming controls and 3DS, than it was anything else.
With Mass Effect and Dragon Age due to have things coming out next year, or so we've seen in news articles, I was expecting to see some information about what these coud be. Expansions? Sequels? Wuh?
No Elder Scrolls, no Batman: Arkham Asylum 2, no Last Guardian, no Saints Row 3, no big new information on SWTOR or FF14 or Secret World or Guild Wars 2... Just a lot of disappointment, for me.
Really hoping that Tales of Graces would get announced for an english release. Now who know's if it'll ever happen
I wanted a new Persona, for the ps3.
