Video: InFamous 2 Gameplay
Some of you weren't really enjoying the changes Sucker Punch made for their superpowered sequel, so I have to ask: how does the footage above feel to you? While the changes don't seem quite so drastic here (and sounds like Cole's buddy Zeke might be back), the action is amped up quite a bit. The bulk of the scene has Cole chasing down some southern gentleman who looks a little bit like the late Sen. Robert Byrd, skating on powerlines and gliding from rooftop to rooftop. It's a lot like the chase scenes from the first game, although you've got a few new tricks this time, and I don't remember being able to take down a whole building with a few exploding cars before. That could be fun.
The clip ends in a somewhat Nathan Drake-like way, with Cole facing a helicopter bearing down on him. His solution to the problem, however, is definitely not something you're likely to find in Uncharted 3.
inFamous 2 is exclusive to the PS3 and currently due sometime in 2011.

The gameplay looks awesome, I love the fact that seems like Sucker Punch found a better and faster ways to move around the city. That's usually the part that I hated most about open worlds so I'm IN!
I forgot to comment something about the look/voice changes. I never like the voice and look of the first Cole I don’t think shaving your head makes you a "tough guy" (whatever that means) and that fake smoker voice seemed really artificial. I never understood if Cole was a delivery guy why he had that “I’m a hardcore marine” attitude. I just never heard a delivery guy with a voice that sounds like he just came back from Vietnam, but again that just my opinion.
I liked the first Cole, though. I'm not used to this guy yet. Can we call something different. But besides that, I love that new tornado move. And the destructible buildings are awesome.
@Pauwow
I understand where you're coming from.
I took it as being because he had this shady past.
And according to the GameInformer article, he was only buzzed before because they felt the gfx engine couldn't handle hair. I don't buy that, but that's what they said.
For myself, if new!Cole had been the original Cole, I still would have played the game, and it wouldn't have been a big deal.
But, like drunken_lemur, I liked the old!Cole, and I don't know how to feel about this guy.
It's like Don Cheadle replacing Terence Howard in Iron Man 2. Both are good in their own ways, but totally different....
@Klarth:
I understand your point, in my case is not that I like the new one more than I dislike the first one's attitude. Either way I love the game and the gameplay looks awesome. Funny you said that about Iron Man 2 because I was pleased with Don Cheadle replacing Terence Howard. After I watched the Traitor I think Don Cheadle is one the best actors in Hollywood, he can be the next Batman if he wants to. Also, I always found Terence Howards way too soft in that role he supposed to be a tough guy in the Army. Again there is no right or wrong, just somebody's opinion.
