Video: Introducing Truthphones!
I know I'm a Johnny Come Lately on HBO's True Blood and while we can discuss Eric's intense omni-hotness and how Lafayette is awesome in every conceivable way another time, one of the things that fascinated me about the show was Sookie's gift for reading people's thoughts. Just think about how useful that would be in your everyday life. Or how cool would it be to have that gift at accident prone E3 press conferences?
Thanks to the fellows over at Mega64 we don't have to imagine any more with their latest invention: Truthphones, a stylish pair of cybernetically enhanced headphones (note the tape and sparkly wires) that can read anyone's deepest darkest thoughts! Who knew that E3 was filled with people who are too cool for everyone else in the room or that anyone still remembers the totally radical kid's show VR Troopers? Although I don't think it took much effort to read Miyamoto's mind when it comes to all things Zelda or the thoughts he would conjure up just little bit later during that same presentation. Still, I think I'm sold on Truthphones. They would come in pretty handy walking around the expo floor. Where do I preorder?

thanks for posting the VR Troopers link in the article - only reason I watched that mega64 clip - I keep on forgetting them guys exist.
still had "Troopers extreme virtual reality" lyrics stuck in my head - from nearly two DECADES Ago.
