Castle Crashers Set To Crash PS3s On August 31st

Castle Crashers might be old news for those with a 360 , but our PS3-only brothers and sisters have had to be very, very patient. Just how patient? About four days over two years to be exact. After delays, vague release date hints and demos at various gamer expos, the much celebrated side scrolling beat-em-up will be coming to the PS3 on August 31st!
The Behemoth's co-founder and art director, Dan Paladin, said on the PlayStation blog that, "we've been working on Castle Crashers for the PSN for about a year and a half. In that time I've had the fortune of meeting everyone at tradeshows and lots of people will ask me, "C'mon, what is taking so long?" I have to say that we've felt the same way.." While I doubt we'll ever get to know the reason why the game took so long, Paladin does drop some hints on what PAX goers will be able to expect from their booth this year. HINT: Arcade cabinets are awesome.
Now all that I'm wondering about the PS3 version is just how will people unlock the Alien from Alien Hominid. The little guy came as a freebie to players that had purchased The Behemoth's other title on XBLA. With no version available on PSN currently, it'll remain a mystery for a just a little while longer.
